Ash Green

Welcome to Ash Green School. We are delighted to have this opportunity to introduce you to our students and school.

Ash Green School is a medium sized secondary school (964 students on roll) located in Warwickshire but very close to the border of Coventry.

Our academic performance has improved rapidly. In 2016 the Department for Education placed Ash Green School in the top 16% of schools in England. The new performance measure which was introduced this year aims to measure how pupils progress from year seven through to their GCSE results. Our Progress 8 score of +0.38 also places Ash Green School in the top 5 highest performing schools in Coventry and Warwickshire.

The School has utilised the Pupil Premium funding in a variety of ways to meet the needs of disadvantaged students and as a result, David Laws as Minister of State for Schools, issued a letter to Ash Green School in 2015, acknowledging the actions taken and the award of £5,000 as a regional finalist in the national Pupil Premium awards. In his letter Mr Laws states: “The reason you have been selected is that you are one of the most improved schools in the country in terms of attainment and value-added progress of your disadvantaged pupils since 2011″.

We are very proud to be part of the Creative Education Trust . As a Creative Education Trust School we are constantly challenged to do better by our students and are supported in our ambitions by highly successful professionals who really understand what it takes to succeed in the world of education, design and commerce.

We have incredible students at Ash Green School. Our students are engaging, inquisitive and are very proud to be Ash Green students, equally impressive are our staff who work tirelessly to achieve our excellent results and to help each student truly achieve their best. As Principal I am proud to have such wonderful colleagues and grateful for the life chances they are giving our young people.

We place a premium on the relationships between students, parents and carers which we view as fundamental to the success of the school. Working in partnership we work hard to ensure that students enjoy their time at Ash Green School, make outstanding progress and leave as highly qualified, successful, resilient young people who has the skills and capabilities to overcome the complex challenges of modern life.
